There's really a baby in there!

Today was our first doctor's appointment. I'll admit, I was a bit tense going in (just ask Greg). :o)

I'd never been to a male doctor...and I was having a gazillion fears about what was going on in my uterus. I mean, was there really a baby in there?

Turns out, there is!

The doctor, Dr. Schurman, could not have been nicer. So thankful to Jen for recommending her practice to me! Aside from a sore arm from the blood work, I'd have to say the experience was a pleasant one.

The best part: Greg and I got to see our little Peanut on an ultrasound! He/She was kicking its legs, and its little heart was beating. Nothing can explain the sense of relief and then excitement that washed over the both of us in that moment.

Dr. Schurman was unfamiliar with "hot" yoga, but seemed to think it was a good thing, and as long as I have the energy (he swears my energy will come back in a few weeks--only to disappear again when the baby arrives :o), I can keep practicing and teaching!

All in all, it has been a very good day, and I am now prepared to fully enjoy my remaining 7 months. :o) See our peanut above!  In the black sac, it's the white thing (shaped like a peanut). Its head is on the left. The miniscule thing sticking out on the right is a foot/leg. :o)
